OUR WORK

Horses we have worked with:

Real Yankee Racing

Real Yankee Racing

Yankee was given to me by his wonderful owners as a retired race horse. I got to watch his last race and this is a photo from that race. He is now a riding horse and beginner safe in a couple short months.

I was honored to walk Yankee on the track during his retirement ceremony.

This was only Yankee's third ride and he is already beginner safe!

Ruby~ STB mare

Ruby~ STB mare

7 year old Standardbred mare we rescued off the track and I trained her to be beginner safe in the ring and on the trail

My personal gelding, Hughy

My personal gelding, Hughy

I started leasing Hughy 5 years ago and he was a pasture pet before I got him. He was scared of a lot and took a lot of time. Now, he is an all around great horse and does lessons and runs barrels.

4 year old STB mare

Leggs was a one of a kind horse. She did not make it to the track to race and people said she was crazy and untrainable. I had her broke walk, trot, canter, jumped on the lunge line, rode english and western within a month. She is a super sweet horse and just needed consistent work and love.

Yearling Filly

Yearling Filly

Eva was out of our stud and a POA mare we have on site. I trained her to lead, groom, tie, load, wear a saddle, and lunge.

Hughy

Hughy

My personal horse again, who never had any jumping experience. I have been training him to do liberty work.

Santee Ruler, POA Stud

Santee Ruler, POA Stud

This is our registered POA stud who produces excellent foals. Produces lots of color and has excellent bloodlines. Great disposition.

Horse in for training

This horse came to me about a week ago with no riding experience. This was our fourth ride and he is doing excellent.

Tee's Colt from this year

Tee's Colt from this year

This colt is out of our POA stud Tee, his dam is pictured in the picture beside him. He already leads, doesn't fight to put his halter on, and picks up his feet. He was born May 20, 2017.

Pebbles, POA Mare

Pebbles, POA Mare

This is Pebbles who is the dam of the colt. She came to us half blind and terrified of being ridden. I spent a lot of time with her and now she loves to do lead-line and I can just hop on her in the pasture with nothing.

Rainy was born on our farm out of our POA stud and mare a few years ago. He was sold as a yearling and was super good. When he sold, he wore a saddle and bridle (with a bit), picked up his feet, great for vet and farrier, loaded, bathed, tied, lunged and just about everything you ask a young a horse to do! He was one of the first young ponies I got to work with and train myself.

ABOUT US

ABOUT US

My great aunt owns the property where I train. I am 20 years old and I have been working with horses since I was 5 years old. I have shown 4-H, Maine Barrels, fun shows, judging, etc.. I enjoy just about anything with horses and have worked with a lot of misunderstood ones. At this time, we are building better facilities and hopefully a new, big arena by next year. We feed excellent grain and hay, and stalls and pasture are cleaned daily. We have an excellent farrier and veterinarian. I am just getting into training for other people and doing more lessons.

For training, I ask $550 per month and that covers board (which is only $150). Your horse needs to be kept with me for a minimum of 30 days, all $550 paid at drop off. My lessons are $30 an hour for private and $20 an hour for groups! I can offer to take 1 person for a trail ride along with me at the moment until I have another trail safe horse. Trail ride prices depends on how long you want to ride for.
